It's been a long time since I've posted, so I decided I need to get on the ball! We have been busy with visitors and a wonderful trip to Lake Charles! Mom and John came to visit a couple of weeks ago and were here for 5 days. We really enjoyed this visit! Their visits have changed so much now that we have Emma. We used to run the roads, shop, eat out, etc and by the end of the trip we would all need a vacation to recover from the vacation> this visit was very relaxing and low key with nights of takeout, movies, and loving on Emma on the agenda!! Midway through their visit they invited Emma and me to fly back with them. I was very hesitant but after calling both pediatricians I work for and getting their opinion on flying with an 11 week old, I decided to go for it! Emma had many people to meet in Lake Charles so I decided this was a great idea! Also, John was throwing my mom a surprise 50 th birthday party and he really wanted us to be there! How could we say no to this?? Jonathan's response to the idea went a little something like this, "Who's going to help me take care of Emma?" He was happy for us, but a little lonesome at just the thought of us leaving. I felt the same. It was going to be hard to leave, but the upcoming week for him was very busy with many calls and a lot of reading, so it was a good week for us to go.

Our trip home was so much fun. Emma had many people to meet so it was very busy! She was held for week straight and if you ask her, "IT WAS WONDERFUL!" Of course it was!!!!! Mom's suprise party was great and I was happy we could be there! 

Emma did really well on the flights. She did get a little fussy as we landed. I'm assuming it was her ears. I had her sucking on her binky on both landings. It was just an unsettling cry but once we landed she was back to herself again laughing and cooing!!!! She has really made a social turn> she laughs, coos, and gurgles all the time! We have gotten 2 laughs out load in the last couple of days> Jonathan is really good at getting her to do this! It seems like she is talking so much now> I call it talking> as a 12 week old it comes out as her own language and it is so precious!!! Like mother like daughter!
